The last National Park we visited was Mesa Verde- Spanish for “green table”. Those “tables” are soaring up in the sky giving protection to the ancestral people and abundant wild animals. This park is known for its well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings –the biggest one is the Cliff Palace which us and our visiting nephew with kids observed from the lookout place. Balcony House which we visited is medium size dwelling (just 40 rooms) and kids had a true adventure with tunnels to crawl through, and ladders to climb.
