We visited “Windy City”- Chicago may earned its nickname from the chilly gusts coming off Lake Michigan (which we experienced fully) or as local legend suggest from “full of hot air politicians”, but we are not going there… Our partial family reunion was caused by Erik’s Graduation from Northwestern University and we took every opportunity to walk, eat, and celebrate this great occasion together with Erik, Marina, Stas, and us. Those three days were very busy with walking through clean, beautiful, and thoughtfully planned streets with absolutely stunning architecture; eating in great restaurants (thank you Erik for planning); learning a thing or two about engineering, design and architecture of the city( thank you, Stas); meeting old friends ( thank you Roma and Irina for hosting us in your beautiful house); we even tried to find a “ mother in law dress” for me ( nhaa.. did not work).
