Civita di Bagnoregio

Civita di Bagnoregio, a small medieval village in central Italy. It is often referred to as “the dying city” due to the constant erosion of the volcanic rock plateau it sits on.

  • The village is located in the province of Viterbo, Lazio, Italy.
  • It was founded by the Etruscans over 2,500 years ago.
  • The only way to access the village is by a long pedestrian bridge.
