Ti’Lomikh falls, Oregon, April 2020

Driving around City of Rogue River we came across of pretty, very Russian orthodox–looking church.  What a surprise! Apparently, a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR), St. Innocent was founded in 1982 as a house church in Medford, Oregon.  Later it was moved to Rogue River to some donated building which later was demolished due to bad condition of the construction. This is a new building which was built just recently.  It is beautiful as well as very traditional.

Saint Innocent Orthodox Church. St. Innocent was the Apostle to Siberia. He was an educator and missionary bishop to the region around Irkutsk, a city located near Lake Baikal in southeastern Siberia, close to the borders of Mongolia and China. He labored there for the Lord for ten years, 1721-1731, at a time of enormous moral decadence. He had profound intellectual and spiritual gifts: the gifts of teaching, languages, preaching and guiding people to God and moral living; gifts of humility, simplicity, patience, endurance and love for all people.
