On a clear day, Talkeetna offers incredible views of Denali, making it a popular destination for tourists each summer. Talkeetna, Alaska has 1,055 residents as of 2020. At the confluence of three rivers, it’s a gateway to Denali National Park. Main Street is the center of all the action in Talkeetna, serving as the meeting point for all the local adventures. This two-block stretch can easily take a day to explore, with its coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, local crafter booths, a central grassy area called “the village park,” micro- brewery, and ice cream stops.
