After heavy rain

Hike on the top of Exit Glacier

We took a trail to the top of Exit glacier in Seward. 10 miles roundtrip with 3800 ft. altitude gain. This was our last day in Seward, and we committed to this trail under the weather – heavy rain, heil on the top, and strong wind. Took us 7 hours to complete the hike. Not a great time for taking pictures, camera was under the rain no matter what I did, and you may see the unsharp spots on pictures, those are drops of the rain on the lenses. Still, it was a great hike, and we enjoyed it.

Exit Glacier. Trail to observation point

Exit glacier near Seward. “2005” marks the spot where glacier was just 20 years ago. Now its bottom line is several miles away and about 2000 ft. higher. We witnessed similar picture all over, in France, Italy, USA, Canada, and other places.
